A new Minecraft style Voxel World is being created in high graphics on the Unreal Engine 5. A solo developer, by the name Salenger on Gumroad is cutting a high graphic version of the game, which he calls “A Minecraft inspired UnrealCraft Infinite project” with a foundation for realism. Conversely, this might not turn up to be a commercial game. However I do wish the developer tries and get it to be one.

We know Minecraft to be very smooth when it comes to gameplay and the developer seems to be very focused on the top-notch performance the original game has always offered. This will surely get gamers hooked if I will be released since it is the main feature that gamers look for first in any game. Sadly, the game developer stated on his Discord channel that the project is solely for fun and to serve as a quick learning experience on generating procedural worlds.

The remake called UnrealCraft is entirely utilizes the blueprints in Unreal Engine 5.3. Surprisingly, the game performs so well considering the very high-quality graphics it possesses. Thus, the developer very well took optimization seriously with this game.
The developer says that the game is only experimental and just a showcase of what can be done with Blueprints in the Unreal Engine. However, Voxel Worlds is just lovely.

The developer listed the game’s features as shown below:

  • Procedural map generator
  • Block building system
  • Weather system with night and day cycles
  • Vanilla & realistic MODs
  • Game saves
  • Godrays !!
  • Comes with two maps : The Table world and Infinite world
  • The developer also listed the software and hardware requirements:
  • Hardware Requirements :
  • RTX capable GPU
  • 16Gb RAM
  • Software Requirements (Full Project) :
  • Unreal Engine 5.2+
  • Simplex Noise Plugin (available in the downloads)
  • FastNoise Generator (available in the downloads
  • To date, the release date of the full game is unknown since the developer is currently not willing to create it as a game for the masses but as a project to play around with. Nevertheless, we do hope the game gets completed and released for gamers. You can purchase the game on Gumroad by clicking on this link
